Moments after taking this shot a tree came sliding down the icy gorge mere feet away from me. Needless to say I packed my gear up as fast as I could to get out of there. A very scary moment at Stony Brook State Park and one I'll never forget. This was back in 2010 and I learned real quick, there is a reason why they close trails off. If a trail is closed, don't be a young me, stay off! At least I got a nice photo out of it

Chittenango falls after some very heavy rains in 2010. There was so much mist it was hard to keep the lens clear taking this. Chittenango falls stands at 167 feet high and I think it's one of the prettiest waterfalls in the NY State.
