#TheWestWing, @shaulawalko @brass75, was excellent television which began as the movie #TheAmericanPresident. But instead of a focus on the President, its focus was going to be on the President's staff in #TheWestWing. In the pilot the President appeared for a moment near the end of the episode. But Martin Sheen was so great in that moment that the focus of the entire series changed and he became the star of this show. Martin Sheen graduated into a better role than he was first hired to play.
