Image is exactly that, left half is Myakka River, with one gator in the middle, with a Great Egret a few yards behind it, near reflections in the water of green trees along the bank. The lower half of the image, right side, is the other bank, covered in lush green grass, some dirt at water's edge, and six alligators, the one furthest away, half in the water and partly on the land, the others gathered close on the dirt "beach".

The #birds were scarce today in Myakka River SP, compared to crowds of #alligators and the usual herons and smaller waders.

And then I noticed this overhead, mixed in with the vultures, but unlike them, with wings out straight. And settling into a tree top with a view.

Recently back from my 29th #Everglades #Kayak Trip!

We were met by an eleven foot long American Crocodile on the boat ramp. (Why is he grinning?) They are endangered and have a preserve on islands to the east. They must be recovering and spreading out—there are two big ones (11 and 15 feet long) now resident near the Ranger Station. Unlike #alligators they prefer salt water.

This one is neither grackle nor raven, other locals one can find, among the "blackbird" masses.

Pretty sure this is about as generic (or FL hybrid) "crow" as one can see.
