Monday is Funday.

Two large (approx. 12 ft. wide) balloons shaped like clown heads are wedged into an alleyway between two buildings, about 20 ft. up in the air.

The heads are not round, but have ears and large red noses sticking out. They look like characters from "Waiting For Godot".

There are two women at street level, one photographing the heads, the other turned away from them, looking for cars before crossing the street. The second woman does not like clowns.

Near Post Office Square

A 10-storey 1920s style Art Deco-ish building with a very modern looking addition plopped on top. The addition is about 5 storeys high, has a surface that is entirely glass, an outline that is not strictly right angles, and extends to overhang the building beneath.

Sneaky peek at Faneuil Hall between two modern towers.

Two modern (20th century) buildings with a narrow, almost hidden, passageway between them. There are two small sets of stairs in the passageway, and you're almost not sure you can walk through. In the narrow slot between the buildings one can see a small bit of Faneuil Hall, a red-brick marketplace built in the early 19th century.

Monday is Funday. Urban Birds.

As we head into Spring, I remember a Winter sunset.

Over a field of well tracked snow, the sun sets in gold and orange, and silhouettes a building with a tall construction crane on top, along with a row of brownstones and leafless trees.

I have been inspired by @Rockin_Robin and @vathpela to start posting some of the photos I've been taking around Boston. I particularly like the way they're capturing interesting angles and compositions.

I'm going to use the #BostonPhotos hashtag, and I hope others will start using that hashtag too. (Don't forget the captions!)

Here's a starter:

A large, mostly blank white brick wall. To the lower left are a few doors and windows, barely interrupting the smoothness of the wall.
