Het gewoon speenkruid staat voor mij symbool voor veel: het einde van de winter, eerste zonnige lentedagen, maar vooral voor mijn liefde voor wilde bloemen. Met dit bloemetje begon het allemaal. Maart 1981, 11 jaar oud, gingen we met de klas naar buiten om het allereerste bloemetje voor ons te maken herbarium te zoeken. 50 wilde bloemen zoeken, drogen, determineren en de habitat bepalen.
