This is among the main things we need to get across to people clustered around the political center. Trump's legal jeopardy is not some misty future possibility. He has had court judgments against him already, including a jury of his peers finding him to have sexually abused E. Jean Carroll and then willfully and repeatedly defamed her. Judge Arthur Engoron has already found that Donald Trump and his company committed business fraud on a massive scale. There is nothing abstract or off in the future about these and other matters. Donald Trump has done wrong many times and the justice system has caught him and very likely will catch him again. And again and again. Voters need to know that this reckoning is already well underway and they need to be reminded of it over and over again. Trump has moved public opinion by telling the same lies repeatedly. We have to move public opinion the other way by telling the truth again and again and again.

That is one plausible possibility. Another is that Donald Trump's brain is so shot that he can't remember who he has endorsed. Cognitive Don is aging badly. This is, after all, the same guy who can't tell the difference between Joe Biden and Barack Obama and Trump is the same guy who can't tell the difference between Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi. And Donald Trump is the same guy who, in a past court proceeding, couldn't tell the difference between a photograph of E. Jean Carroll and a photograph of his own wife. Never forget that. If you are interested in the E. Jean Carroll defamation cases and the jury judgments against Donald Trump, you would do well to watch this six plus minutes video.

Andrew Weissmann put very clearly that two unanimous juries found against Donald Trump in these two cases - a total, he said, of eighteen jurors.

Contrary to what Donald Trump seems to think, all of the jurors were not Joe Biden - in fact, none of the jurors were Joe Biden.

Great discussion of the jury judgment against Donald Trump, Trump's plan to appeal, his need to actually pay E. Jean Carroll what he owes her, and the prospect of a third defamation trial against Trump.

Very briefly at the end, Glenn Kirschner critiqued Alina Habba's lawyering or lack thereof. He was a little more open to critiquing her than I would have thought, though others have spoken more harshly.

I am a little vague on why Trump has not had to pay Ms. Carroll the $5 million from the first jury award.
