Transformers G1/IDW Fanfic Rec

An angsty Rodimus Prime-centered fic, in which he does what he can to make amends regardless of risk to himself. This was a heartbreaking read in the best way imaginable.

The fic borrows elements from IDW and G1, and while the IDW elements were well-integrated, what really spoke to me was how the flaws of his G1 self are highlighted. He is so, so good, but he barely gives himself any credit. He's not just a good leader, but a good person, even if it might run against better judgment. His inadequacy, recklessness, selflessness—they all shine through here.

The other characters felt fleshed out and real as well, and you could see a glimpse of the world continuing to spin, proverbially, in spite of the tragedies faced. If you like Rodimus even a little, I highly reccommend giving this gem a read!

Currently watching Transformers Cyberverse. I'm honestly impressed what they did with budget of what feels like 12 dollars. The action is unimpressive, and makes it feel like a video game cutscene, but by gods do the voice actors put in all their nethers into the performance. They pushed these 12 dollars to the max!

I might finally be able to get a bluray copy of TF1 this week. I needed this movie injected directly into my blood stream ever since I saw it for the first time in cinema, so I'm glad I will finally be able to do the closest thing available to it. The "I'm done saving you" scene watered my crops an cleansed my skin.
Genuinely the best transformers movie I have seen.
