I love to use #phanpy for my #GoToSocial instance so decided I should try hosting it myself instead of constantly relying on the phanpy.social. This is my first post from my #selfhosted Phanpy site, with hopefully many more to follow

Hey Mastodon and especially #rstats folks, what Mastodon web/iOS clients are you using? @materov, any thoughts?

For a couple of days, I have been using #phanpy in the web — it's not too bad, pretty responsive, and I like the boost carousel, which helps declutter the main feed. But I am looking for other alternatives, especially for handheld devices.

Ich bekomme keine Benachrichtigungen mehr von der #Mastodon-App. Eingeschaltet ist alles, sowohl in der App, als auch in den Einstellungen von #iOS. Dass jemand geantwortet hat, sehe ich erst dann, wenn ich aktiv in der App oder in #Phanpy nachschaue.

Weiß jemand, was die Ursache sein kann?

Habe gestern noch einmal die Bio meiner Mastodons
1) Haupt-Account https://mastodon.bayern/@matteo
 und
2) Neben-Account https://social.anoxinon.de/@matteo
überarbeitet und aktualisiert.

Meine beiden Identitäten habe ich jetzt geringfügig in
1) Matteo (Mastodon)
und
2) Matteo (MiniBlog)
umbenannt.

Ich finde, das macht die unterschiedlichen Zweckbestimmungen auf den ersten Blick besser verständlich, insbesondere was die primitive, Leser-interaktive Blog-Funktion betrifft.

Außerdem werkel ich noch an einer dritten Funktion, Matteo (NostrChat), zum Austausch einfacher, anonymer, verschlüsselter Direkt-Nachrichten. Mastodon kann im Augenblick bekanntlich ja leider keine automatische Verschlüsselung. Wäre dann eine perfekte Ergänzung!

auto translate doesn't work well anymore in #phanpy. is it just me?

just noticed a neat #phanpy feature where it alerts you that you're replying to an old post

@cheeaun I'm still often disappointed by mastodon clients in that they don't show me full conversations but rather different subsets depending on which account I'm using. Is this a limitation that #Phanpy removes, somehow ? Or is the browser cross site scripting gets in the way ?

This is what you'd expect from a "modern" web client, i.e. it meets expectations you'll have from using other top-notch web UIs that were built with the users in mind (and with minimal, state-of-the-art frontend technologies).
