Wow, hello #Fediverse! It’s lovely to connect with all of you.

Yesterday I facilitated a little gathering of local #community members and the #horses. This is a program I started in January, which I’m calling Horse Hangouts. It’s for sharing knowledge and connecting with the community. The gatherings have been tiny so far, because it’s darn cold in the winter in #Maine and also I want to grow the thing slowly so as not to overwhelm myself.

But anyway. Yesterday was delightful. We had six people, counting me, which is the largest group so far. Abigail and Abner’s previous family came to visit them, as they often do. They braided Abner’s mane and gave both of them as much attention as they could stand. Henry got a massage. The humans had fun chatting.

Then I came back to the computer to a couple hundred unexpected notifications. Hi! Hi, hello, hi!

I’ve got to go feed the #ponies, but I’ll be back to read your messages more closely later. <3
