I just think #TheEconomist is #discrediting itself by #platforming #MAGA #bullshit that even 5th graders can callout as #Kindergarten-esque #mobbing.

It's pretty much absurd to do so without seriously interrogating whether the #Trump regime actually knows the shit it does or whether this is just a #dismantling operation by #AgentKrasnov to enshure #Putin gets what he wants.

After all, the whole #Ukraine - #Invasion timeline would've been perfect if Trump caused a #CivilWar in 2020 and thus upend any #resolve.

Tho in the meantime it only resulted in the #EU coming closer together and #Europe finding resolve against #Russia, with both #NATO and EU becoming stronger than before...

Granted the #USA already lost it's credibility in 2012 when Putin invaded #Crimea and the #BudapestMemorandum was violated #consequences-free instead of #BootsOnTheGround by the #US, #UK and #France and the current support for #Kyiv is the absolute bare minimum to avoid the political suicide that are flagged coffins returning home since in #Europe - unlike the USA - going to war isn't guaranteed to get elected, but rather will tank ratings (as it should be)!

Again: #REFORUSA is an act of self- and mutual defense at this point!

@TempermentalAnomaly @mao To make it a fair comparison, we should be comparing Kdenlive to open source software like Shotcut or Flowblade, not proprietary software like DaVinci Resolve.

Black Magic Design requires my details to download #Davinci #Resolve free version (I love #Kdenlive but it barely works on #macOS (which I'm forced to use)) so I put fake/prank details. #JamesBond is just the first name that I thought of, and is what I usually use as a pseudonym. Did you know that DaVinci Resolve is NOT open source software?

DaVinci Resolve is a proprietary color grading, color correction, visual effects, and audio post-production video editing application.

While DaVinci Resolve is free to download, it requires a video graphics card. There is a paid version called "DaVinci Resolve Studio" that costs $295.

If you are working on #macOS using #DaVinci #Resolve and struggle with getting your output match what you see in Resolve you might want to check these settings.
Also make sure that your Output Color Space and Gamma is set to 'Use timeline'.

Finally found a way to transfer timelines between #Resolve (so, everything) and #Avid both ways with only linked media (original camera files) via AAF, without generating any new media files. Took me like 6 hours (to find out, not to do) but did it!

#davinci #resolve afficionados can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I export a simple test sequence as AAF (no media). I reimport it back and GET A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT SEQUENCE. What?

So my #DavinciResolve install I just redid is having an issue where my whole desktop freezes for a second or two when I do ANYTHING in it. And then its fine.

Finally dipped my toes in #Distrobox and...

Damn is it a useful tool... I was struggling to make #DaVinci #Resolve work on my #Fedora 41 (funnly enough, on #Mint 22.1 it worked perfectly). But with Distrobox and the #davincibox image it was a breeze.

I get the #hype now
