People always write and talk about loneliness as if it’s something terrible, but it’s not that bad at all. For example, when we are alone, we sometimes get bored, but then we start paying attention to ourselves. We turn inward.
Interestingly, we even begin to think. We reflect on our mistakes, the things we’ve done well, our wrongdoings, regrets, past lovers, future plans, and a whole lot more.
Some of us even read books when we’re alone. I believe our biggest problem as a society is that we fail to be alone. Since childhood, we’ve been taught that being alone is something bad.
Spend some time alone, get to know yourself! Don’t be so afraid of your own company. :)
