We are standing on low, rather flat ground near the shore of a lake. The ground is covered with bright green plants that is currently sprouting hundreds of tiny yellow flowers. There are many scattered gray rocks and boulders poking through the ground cover. The far shore of the lake is also covered with a wide strip of these plants, which resemble grass from this distance. Beyond that strip is a low forested ridge. Above that is a single large cloud tinted orange, gold and dark purple from the setting sun. The rest of the sky is pale blue gray.

Feels like going home sunset, Scoville Reservoir, Wolcott, Connecticut. May 18, 2021, 7:36 PM.

We are walking over a wooden footbridge following a dirt and gravel path through a forest of mostly shrubs and young trees with a few taller trees. They are all either budding or covered with bright green spring leaves. The sky is a darkening gray blue with streaky hazy clouds. There are more substantial clouds just above the horizon, which the setting sun is tinting gold and orange.
