I finally had a spare moment to finish bookmarking my PDF for the Traveller core rule book. Mongoose really should have done that. The hard copy was faster to navigate before, which is fine for the players, but now the PDF is much more accessible, so I don't have to ask for the rules back during the game.

I've just finished reading through both Moon Toad's “Bounty Hunter Handbook" and #Traveller “Bounty Hunter”. They complement each other well. The first is gritty, detailed & realistic, feeling like a procedural TV series. The Mongoose book is shinier & glossier, feeling more like #TheMandalorian with lightweight mercenary tickets.

If I had to pick one, I'd go with the “Bounty Hunter Handbook”. Fortunately, I have them both. Time to prepare the campaign!

@spocko

We have a Traveller campaign, and our first woman player wanted a character loosely based on Donnie Darko and Mr. Spock. She wanted to be Donnie Spocko. I gave her my policy on modifying derivative names, so she tweaked it to Don Ispako. Don has a demon jack (an outlawed AI in his brain), and as a result questions his own sanity at times.

Not really what you are asking for, but I am very fond of the Starship Geomorphs by Robert Pearce. But they are for sections of starships or space stations or ground buildings at that sort of tech level.

Which probably isn't what you mean by "otherworldy elven city."

(Note that while they are designed for the #Traveller Space #ttrpg, they aren't particularly specific to that game or setting.)
