A glorious April 16C (60F) #bike day with my mother (86) on the #Veluwe in the #Netherlands. We cycled 35 km on e-bikes. I had not heard of the bike brand Flyer (“Swiss assembled”), but they were great. The sheep enclosure is surrounded by electric fencing. I assumed to keep people from petting, but later I realized it is to keep the wolves out.

Sunny 14 km walk in short sleeves over farmland on the NW edge of the Veluwe. I TOTALLY MISSED THAT THERE WAS A PARTIAL ECLIPSE. The photo of the magnolia was at peak coverage, somewhere between 1/3rd and 1/4th. Can't see it! 63 Photos and a map:

Extensive riding was done this weekend, and I loved every second of it. Saturday was spent with a friend in the #Veluwe nature area, and today I solo-toured through the #Maasvlakte area near #Rotterdam.
So many #biker waves were exchanged. So many curves were danced through. So many nyooms were exhaled by my #bike's throat.
I adore this thing. Adore.

Had a great ride on the #Veluwe yesterday with the #horses from #TheMillRanch. It's always some getting used to, those western saddles. I normally ride on English ones, and I do prefer those. But it's always such great fun on their horses in those woods! And it's fun to change it up sometimes.
I don't like to post myself here, but have at least a photo of Pumpkin's dear little face.

@Pentaxke @IngridHbn Op zich heb je hier gelijk in maar een natuurgebied met groot wild en wolven (of andere jagers) kan alleen in balans komen met een minimale afmeting. Onze #Veluwe is daar veel te klein voor. Misschien kan het net als je #Apeldoorn en de vele dorpen verwijderd.
Van #Ardennen weet ik het niet. Zou dat uitvoerbaar zijn of moeten dan ook veel mensen weg?
