I tried logging in to the YES network to to watch the Yankees only to learn that I have to download the Gotham Sports app. Fine. Download the app, sign in & learn that I can't watch my #Yankees play because fucking #Xfinity is a piece of shit company and doesn't support the new app. Shame on #Comcast. I'm thinking about ugrading my cable modem (currently ARISS SB8200). I am on #Xfinity. The rest of my home network inside the modem is all managed #Ubiquiti gear. Any thoughts on the Ubiquiti UCI? Perhaps vs the #Netgear CM3000.

Just received a notice from #Xfinity that they increased my #DownloadSeed to 100mbps.

So I tested it and got the following results -- 98.49, 134.06, 95.12 & 119.62 -- which seem to verify that.

I also got widely varying results for download speeds of 5.18, 6.19, 19.2 & 21.30.

I really don't know who or what to believe. LOL!

Re: Last boosted post, I read and laugh, and laugh, and laugh heartily because the running joke has been I switch to #VerizonFIOS and symmetrical #Xfinity speeds will come to my neighborhood. Well, not quite yet but still a speed boost just as I'm readying to depart. I giggle. #Verizon is still cheaper so here's hoping it goes well.

I went to downgrade to 500 and it’s almost $100/mo.

But if I commit to a 1 year contract I get 1,000Mb/s for 2 years for $75/mo.

I switch to mobile, no issue. Other sites seem to reachable.

#Comcast #Xfinity is offering 2Gbps down/300 Mbps up cable internet for $10 less than what I paid for 1 Gbps down. The upgrade was instantaneous.

Check to see if you have better deals where you live.

Oh, and do update your switches and network interfaces to Multigig-capable ones. You can get at least 2.5 Gbps over existing Cat5 cables.
