My old bandmate, who has been in assited living for ab9ut 2 years, was pout into hospice Saturday after contracting COVID19 for the first time. His fragile health was not considered worth masking around them. This is the third close friend who has contracted COVID19 and died in a medical setting this last 8 months. i am overwhelmed with grief too much to even consider being active against the Confederated TechBro Takeover of 2025. Glad Oregon has a right to die when nothing works in medicine

@Clarity
This is sadly all too common. I had to see a doctor last week and no one was masked except me and the doc when she came in, and only because I'd had the flu 3 weeks earlier. It's shameful.

I am so sorry for loss. They deserved better.

@Clarity 6 yrs into a pandemic and nothing has changed. Too many lives lost bc there is no sense of community or care for others. I am so sorry for all your losses 😢

@huskify Yeah, it's almost like we're stupid-struck back to the Dark Ages, i mean burning witches has never quite so apropos for the evangelical Inquisition. Ironically, I was brought up in a fundamentalist church which sent us(in Bum Fuck Eastern Oregon) a fine preacher from Lubbock TX (where the present measles outbreak originated) who brought those values to my family of origin. It's the promised land... they fear La Raza. But they call it Antifa. it is really just ignorance and prejudice which is perpetrated by religion and State schools as well. I am beyond ever going outside for any extended time. Aerosols carry microplastics which enhance biofilms and resistance to antimicrobial forces of our(sic) immune systems. My mother died of lung disease related but no TB which was impossible to eradicate. I guess we could have removed part of her lung but her Dr. thought she was too old to endure the surgery. She lived 20 miles downwind from a coalfire plant and liked to leave her window cracked open at night.
