Good morning, y'all. How are y'all doin on this fine Friday. Well, ok, not so fine. But it IS Friday, finally. So, Happy #TGIF to ya.

It looks like the sun is taking a break from shining this morning. It's kinda cloudy n smothering out the rising sun. But it's a warm start to #myday anyway at a pleasant 58deg n heading again into the 80s. I guess the clouds will be hanging around all day. So, I'm not sure if there's any sun soakin in store for me #today.

Ah, well. Everybody n thing needs a break from doin their thing, I suppose. Even the morning sunshine from joining me in my sitting n coffee sipping.

But, I will start #myday sitting n sipping and watching for some sunrise just the same and see what the morning brings me. ️

I had a good bday! But I spent a fortune on Uber/Lyft because I can't drive from my rotator cuff surgery

On the way back, I asked the driver if he wanted to listen to music because it could be boring driving thru the mountains. He thought I wanted to listen to my music. I asked him to put on his music

He likes Punjabi rap! I said, "Put it on! So we jammed all the way home. He taught me a lot about being a Sikh

Diversity is amazing!!!!

Today:

- I went to the local garden cafe and everyone else was eating indoors, meaning the only chatter I had to listen to was from the birds

- I started feeling unwell this afternoon, but I’m hopeful it’s not serious. Grateful for painkillers and a negative Covid test

- I finished reading a good but grim book, and I’m about to start on something lighter

1. Did the house chores I had intended to do today.

2. Attended a meeting for a kink org I've recently joined even though I was very low spoons. Came away with a lot to think about and ponder on dynamics and power exchange.

3. It was mostly sunny today so the windows were open and we got to air out the whole house which is SOOOO nice.

So like, #today I’m on three weeks of replacing sertraline with very low dose gummies and I feel better all the way around.

I slowly felt better over the course of the day. I have no meetings tomorrow and may actively defend that to create more space to recover.

So having got up and found that all my working parts are working adequately it's time to plan my day. The options are: take a short walk, read a book, watch a screen, do some word puzzles, doze.
There were whole years when I would have given my right arm for just one such uncomplicated day. Beware of what you wish for.

Good personal news: The building inspector was here for about a minute, and all's fine. The electrician also tested all my smoke alarms for me.

Poor Tennessee was not a fan of the smoke alarms or the folks coming into the house, even briefly — but the replace-the-circuit-breaker-box project is now done!

OK, I still have a few things I still need to put back in place after moving them so the work could get done. But there'll be no more workmen to disturb my poor cat.

The painting is continuing. The painter is doing the window trim and doors while waiting for the paint to dry on the walls so he can move the furniture back, and then tomorrow move the furniture from the other side out and do those walls.

It all seems to be going slowly to me, but he's doing a perfectionist's job of it and I know I'll be happy in the end.

Another day of power out as the work on the power lines continues. I suspect they're not finished yet and it'll be out tomorrow as well - they've not swapped the cables over to our new pole yet.

Hope it's warmer, today got a bit chilly this afternoon!

Also, my chopping things back in the garden day yesterday was followed by clearing things up today, except it was cut short by me doing something to my knee - twisted it wrong or something and it's now randomly hurting a lot.

Had to stop, found a knee support thingy (it's done this before) and now seeing if my leg falls off overnight or not before I bother a doctor tomorrow.

#Yesterday: Beta reader day. Productive session with my primary beta reader and a wonderful discussion about being a professional and/or genre writer. Including private snark about people who are not like us, especially the self-righteous ones with no awareness of how self-righteous they are. (Self-righteously said.)

Spend evening and insomniac hours integrating feedback into three chapters. With some serious additions resulting in splitting a chapter.

#Today: Integrate one more chapter. Final review and posting of a chapter to second beta reader.

Read yet again what “Deep” means. Since I am alphaing a 1st deep POV, I should grok it better.

Then, more editing on the next three chapters to go to beta reader. And if time finally start first edit on chapters for my next volume. #NMKonbiniIdolWIP

Well...Stupid is back after not seeing him for a week...he was chasing a car that he had stopped in the street...had a good morning but a busy one and now I am going to have my last cup of coffee and read one of the 5 books I got this morning...steak came out great and I even like the pouch of cheesy broccoli I got from DD for a buck...saw a bald eagle and three red tailed hawks on the first outdoor ride...good afternoon!
