Ever since #MafiaDon packed the #SCotUS with sycophants who declared him unimpeachable & #AboveTheLaw, he has been taking full advantage, committing a string of #unconstitutional actions that would have gotten him #impeached a dozen times over *already* under normal circumstances.

Best example: His *first* impeachment in 2019 was for attempting to attempting to withhold weapons "appropriated by Congress" for #Ukraine. Not an Executive power.

#DOGE is one giant violation of that power.

The #GOP packed the #SCotUS with his appointees who then ruled he's #AboveTheLaw.

That was the #Republican long game. They only needed to fill 5 seats (they have 6). They (arguably) can't be removed, and enjoy lifetime appointments. And just look how much damage they've done in just a short time:

They abolished the 1965 #CivilRights Act.

Overturned #Roe.

And declared the #Potus is Above the Law & can't be #impeached.

Many are taking the position that against Trump should be seen as presumptively *no matter the counts against Trump or the facts that underlie them*.

“It is beyond belief,” raged Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, that Bragg “has indicted a former President and current presidential candidate for pure political gain.”

-- The careful reader will note that Youngkin’s complaint is *not* that the indictment may be flimsy.
That is not what makes the charges “political.”

Rather, it’s that Trump was indicted at all.
