Years ago I entered this photo contest at a preserve in West Palm Beach. Photos had to be taken at the preserve on specific dates and had to feature unique perspectives. So I thought it would be fun to snap pictures of these cool plants, but through the telescopes that they had for watching birds or whatever. The first photo was the actual submission. I didn’t even place. Oh well.

This one day a year and a half ago we went to the beach during a tropical depression and upon coming back from a little walk, noticed someone stuck a sunflower into the sand and it just stood tall and proud.
