Tesla removed from Vancouver Auto Show

“The Vancouver International Auto Show has removed #Tesla as a participant in this week’s event, after the automaker was provided multiple opportunities to voluntarily withdraw,” said Eric Nicholl, the show’s executive director, in a statement.

#Tesla has been removed from the #Vancouver #AutoShow on the eve of the event, organizers announced Tuesday.

#ElonMusk’s company will no longer be an exhibitor and all references to Tesla have been removed from the show’s website, a move that comes as the billionaire faces backlash for his alliance with President #DonaldTrump amid a #TradeWar between #Canada and the U.S.

I went to the Canadian International #AutoShow #CIAS on the weekend, partly because I love looking at cool cars, partly because I'm very tall and have a hard time finding cars that fit me well, so its nice to go somewhere I can try on all of them, like one might with clothes, to see if they fit.

Newspaper Story By BOB POOL - TIMES STAFF WRITER Upstairs in the Convention Center hall, Ford, Volvo and other major auto makers were busy Friday while Larry Lindsay searched parking garage for an outlet to charge his electric car. Downstairs in the parking garage, Larry Lindsay was busy trying to get his electric car charged and cursed red lights on surface streets that made him restart the whirring motor and waste battery power. “I'm apprehensive,” Lindsay said as he used more battery juice and glanced around The Convention Center garage in vain. “I knew I could get here. It's getting back that scares me.” The Greater Los Angeles Auto Show that enticed Lindsay to nurse his 68-horsepower car on the Harbor Fwy to get there had few electric options. Lindsay had hoped to find offerings that would extend his driving range beyond the 50-mile limit. Carmakers offered nothing yet so Lindsay went back to worrying about having enough juice for returning home after recharging the 16 golf-cart batteries.
