Hochvolt-Akku #Ford #Kuga #PHEV soll nicht geladen werden, kann zu Kurzschluss oder gar Fahrzeugbrand kommen. Software-Update "voraussichtlich" in Q2.
D.h. Kuga nur noch mit Benzin fahren: Höhere Kosten, höherer CO2-Abdruck. Meine Erfahrung: 3 Monate für SW-Update bei Ford sind unrealistisch.
Immerhin gibt es von Ford ein Programm für einen finanziellen Zuschuss.

We went for a drive in the Hyundai Ioniq5 this morning.
Had a nice lunch in the sun at the cafe next to the Great Central Railway in Quorn
Then we went for a drive in the Ford Capri
This is for Sacha's next #Motability car as she gets #PIP (for now!)

TL:DR - The Ford gets it by a short head.

There was a bit too much tech on the #Hyundai - made worse by them letting us loose with the version with no mirrors - only cameras. I couldn't focus on the rear view screen with my glasses, and there were odd reflections. The spec' we are interested in doesn't have these, but we'd loose the very nifty parking cameras & the Heads Up Display.
The '#Ford Capri (badly named - it's really a Mondeo) was much easier to adapt to, but maybe slightly less comfortable. The ride was nicer and maybe quieter but the touch buttons on the centre consol will take some getting used to. Ford is an American company which is a big minus.

So - it's the #FordCapri for us - ordering next month.

Best thing I've watched this week: "Tractor Wars," a #PBS #documentary about the #history of #Ford, #JohnDeere, and other companies' efforts to develop affordable, powered vehicles to American farms. I think the film did a good job of balancing #business, #technology, and #socialhistory.
