The list of information that has to be included on the printed label of medical devices is growing. As a result, users struggle to find the information they need, and updates to just one element of a label require the whole thing to be reprinted. What do we want you to do? Establish a digital label concept for medical and in vitro devices. #ElonMusk, the world's richest person, who oversees #Neuralink & spent >$250M to help elect #Trump, has been leading the effort to cut govt workers w/ #DOGE. Thousands have been cut.

The #FDA firings last week included about 20 people in its office of #neurological & #physical #MedicalDevices several of whom worked on Neuralink…. It is not known if all of the fired workers reviewing Neuralink have received the return offer.

The FDA plans to rehire around 300 people in total, per 4 sources w/secondhand knowledge of the situation, following #Trump's rush last week to fire employees at the agency responsible for reviewing #drugs, #FoodSafety, #MedicalDevices & #tobacco.

#Mexico is the largest exporter of #automotive parts to the #US. #Honda, for instance, produces around 200k vehicles in Mexico, & ships about 160k of those to the US. American carmakers like #GeneralMotors & #Ford Motor, which have major plants in Mexico & #Canada, would be similarly affected by #Trump’s #tariffs.

…Mexico is also home to other major manufacturers that make #aerospace equipment, #electronics, home #appliances & more. It is the largest exporter of #MedicalDevices to the US.
