The Metropolitan Museum of Art has revealed the dress code for its annual Met Gala: Suit up. This year's exhibition and event will focus on Black style in menswear, and other than Anna Wintour, the hosts and committee of the event will all be famous Black people, including Pharrell Williams, Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, LeBron James, Simone Biles, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Dapper Dan. Gotta admit that was the most ... realistic ... cat suit at Monday's I've ever seen. The lucky (or not) wearer of the ultimate cat suit was actor Jared Leto--someone who I wrote off decades ago as a vapid teenybopper idol (he was in 'My So-Called Life,' after all) but has actually done some interesting stuff in adulthood.

The suit was based on Choupette, the kitty companion of the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who allegedly left the feline a $1.6 mn inheritance. And yes, I know, by some accounts Lagerfeld was odious ... and maybe eccentric if he left millions of dollars to his ... cat.

I mean, is it for Choupette's care, feeding, and whatnot, or does Choupette whip out the gold card in her little paws and go shopping? I mean, it's awesome that Lagerfeld obviously loved his cat that much, but to leave it $1.6 mn?

Look, I dig that is an important fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but I still have to make light of it. Also, this Met Gala lasts until ... they're eliminated from postseason contention (barring a miracle):
