Whenever I mess with the equalizer in foobar2000 to make some older albums sound a bit more lively and punchy I come to the conclusion that most "remastered" albums are just a ripoff.

The only truly "remastered" sounding album is Rush's "Vapor Trails" — and that was badly needed because the original release was overcooked like an early 2010 HDR image. :P

Days Gone Remastered arrive sur Playstation 5 le 25 avril

Si certains espèrent une suite pour les aventures de Deacon, le protagoniste de Days Gone, ils risquent d'être déçus. En effet, durant le state of play de février, ce n'est pas la suite qui a été annoncée mais un remaster.

Ce resmaster de Days Gone apportera quelques améliorations propres à la PS5 c

For a limited time, I have a discounted subscription to MAX streaming service with ads. The subscription will expire soon, so I've been exploring what's new in the classic film "TCM" section. I clicked on the newly remastered version of 2001.

Unfortunately, as with so many other movies that have been remastered to 4K UHD, the effects look more fake now. It's like watching an overcooked "AI-enhanced" version in some parts of the film.

I'll stick with my Blu-Ray version.
