Monday, Mastodonians. My contract ends today. All the work is done and the clients are happy.
It was a pleasure to work with these folks, and an honour to do build something that helps so many.
Now, time to write stuff.

A room by myself with a window overlooking nature, a really comfy chair, and a computer. Forever.
(Obviously, I take breaks to do other things and see my family and stuff.)
(And being super famous and beloved would be great.)

At first, their ability to survive by leaning on each other, and later, by fighting back.

I have cats. They hang in the office. Sometimes, one of the curls up in front me, against my chest, while I work.
It's 15 days to the release of Memories of Sorcery and Sand (have you preordered it yet?), but I'm already working on my next book, and it's going... as expected.
I'm quite sure that in the end, I'll have exactly enough story for one book, but until then, it's a vicious circle.

I guess final exams? Sometimes, if it's a small class, I would write at the front of the room while they wrote their tests.

She didn't manage to keep a hold of all her stuff. She was abducted in the middle of the night, grabbed what she could, and then slowly lost it all.

I watch a lot of bad TV and think, "I can do better!" And I write. I read a lot of good books and think, "I can do this!" And I write.
I read Catherynne M. Valente, and think, "Holy shit! I cannot do that!" And I do not write.

My protagonist was a child gymnast, and it means she's extremely ready to learn to fight with a sword. It's a whole thing. The rest of her friends have to learn, too, but they're not great at it.

Chapter length. I really have no idea what I'm doing with chapters. I'm considering not bothering with them and just stringing hundreds of scenes together.
