Coming off of the heels of a long Saturday stream, tonight was shorter (if only because I have to bring my car in to the shop tomorrow morning.) Thank you everyone for stopping by!

The ink dries along the fibers of the paper. The conditions of moisture and drying times determine the end result, which is a beautiful mystery, to naturally unfold.
Just a few days left to sign up for the March Goblin Dross!
I'm heading to the post office tomorrow, so I am ready for any last minute mail fun needs!
Give the Dross Goblin six bucks, she'll make you up an envelope of shiny goodies.
I've been working on populating my Art Fight page with the various OCs I've made over the years, and I just made an entry for number 10. I'm really liking this exercise, just drawing a profile picture for them in between other things and slapping it on the site. Here's the more recent entries so far...

rev. queen of pentacles
10 of cups
unwater of earth, manifestation of all stages of the cycle of water.
Following on the page from 18., some new colors have entered the mix.
My question now is, if acrylic paint is one step away from being awkward ink, is a nib therefore the most excellent small round brush? Is a nib the best painting tool for details? Will I make a second pen set reserved for oil paints?

A lot of solar plexus.
This was trying some colors out. The drab purple mix I have been working with, a primary blue, and a quinacridone crimson. Both were just mixed with distilled water in their own containers, and applied with dip nib.

13. what is your favorite kind of weather?
This india ink is not as thick as some, and feathers on thin paper. On this cardstock it looks okay!
India inks and acrylic inks both use pigment (vs dyes), for added lightfastness and permanence, as well as greatly increased archival lifespan when decently kept.
Shellac is typically in india inks, while acrylic inks use acrylic binders, I think.
Thick shellac ink would not be good in a fountain pen.
rev. 5 of wands
king of pentacles
Dodged strife and imagery of a bird, and agriculture themes repeated from previous draws, perhaps.

11. (More drills...) write the pangram “The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog”?
8 of pentacles (again)
rev. 10 of swords.
Mercury of earth, un-material culmination of air's aspect.
Creativity, and un-creativity's ruin.
Here's to staving off ruination!
Far darrigs are nasty, solitary Irish goblins famous for their red coats and rat-like features, including a snout and long tail. They love to play cruel tricks on humans, such as replacing babies with changelings or filling their sleep with nightmares Brian Froud
Goblin.
This is acrylic paint and distilled water!
(and some watercolor crust. Don't worry about it...)
I don't think I've used a dip pen with acrylic paint so successfully before!
I have been scraping by with art goals, but really need to kick it up a few goblins.
