For this week, an LP that just came out in 2019, but one that should probably already be considered a grind classic. Ichikawa, Japan's FAILED TREATMENT don't fuck around when it comes to the gross and depraved. Lots of that here. Guitars have a really great, truly grindy sound. Very riffy. Roaring, bellowed vocals. Love that in grind. And the DRUMS.

The lineup is unique because they're all pathologists. Since they did not want their music in any way to affect their profession or field, their true names were not used. Instead they used the formula: middle name + mother's maiden name. It's a fun listen. Much of their topics cover death and decay.

Between 2010 and 2015 BWWI was not yet dead for me, I wrote new songs and finally managed to get a full band together, meeting in 2013 by chance Charles, a drummer without a band (what ??!!) who believed his friend Flo played a bit of guitar.

We spent a bit more of a year rehearsing and gave one gig at a private party. Some videos were available on youtube but the cymbals were awful so Doc Ed revamped it.

🇬🇧 I'm now listening to 'A Collection of Self Destruction' by Dallas, TX grindcore orchestra Trucido. Of course it's fast, explosive (like a sudden bout of diarrhoea) and chaotic, but surprisingly catchy and melodic at times as well.

Give them a listen on Bandcamp (but don't get nauseous, because their page's background isn't for the faint-hearted).
