Reminded today of how I used to make pictures before I could afford a decent camera. A recent photographic capture of St Mary's Island at Whitley Bay in North East England and a pen and ink drawing I executed back in 1978.
It was probably around that time I bought a Praktica MTL 35mm SLR camera and I really fell in love with taking photographs, processing the film and printing the images in the darkroom.

Today, I enjoy nothing better than being out and about with my camera. This is St Mary's Island, a well known iconic local landmark just up the coast from where I live in North East England.
Back in the day (1978) a pen and ink rendition I executed of St Mary's Island, off the coast at Whitley Bay. Nothing much has changed, apart from the telegraph pole.
