How to update the Gnome Music library #music #musicplayer #tracker
My favorite offline music player - a Sansa C200 with wired earbuds, running Rockbox firmware.
It's live! Amarok 3.2.2 has been released for Haiku.
After spending quite some time on it, it's finally done, is it perfect? No, but it's usable and running fine on my checks, so no use in holding back on it. A big thanks to upstream maintainer for thinking along and helping in making this possible!

The music player you wish you had in the early 2000s
"Its #Lua support has very complete bindings to system data and controls. (Our whole UI is written in Lua!)"
@Soblow I don't have personal experience with it, but I've seen quite a few people who are happy with Jellyfin for this. You might want to check it out.
Now this is sweet! This was my main music player in the pre-streaming era. I'm definitely going to check it out again.
Greetings DuckDuckFedi, I am looking for your advice once more.
I have a raspberry pi connected to a sound system in our main room.
I would love to have some kind of music server where one could:
pls
, m3u
)From what I saw, the closest to what I'd like would be either to have some kind of webradio setup, or to use mpd
and some of the frontends available.
Do you have any recommendation?
It would allow people we invite to add their own musics to the playlist, like what Spotify jam.
This looks like a very cool device, and something I’ve been waiting to buy to replace my old iPod.
Does anyone on here have one already? What are your thought? Is it as good as it looks?
Amarok 3.2.2 open-source music player lands with bug fixes and non-UNIX support, marking the final Qt5/KF5 release before the Qt6 transition.

"Thinking about audio players and longing for Amarok 1.4" time of the day.
Damn, A1.4 was great. If it could be resumed, maybe even the splintering of audio player projects could be reduced...
A NEW apollo release, version 1.6.1. with some improvements and fixes. Basic MusicBrainz functions are implemented.

Fedi-friends
I would appreciate opinions please.
I am feeling overwhelmed by the number of products and brand names on the market so I am hoping you can help me sort this out.
I want to purchase a CD player, preferably with: replaceable batteries, a radio that can pull in fairly weak signal, and won't skip when I am on long walk. Not for hook up to a car.
(Also, it there such a model that might support a SD card or flashdrive? or would I need a separate MP3 player? And is there an MP player that has a replaceable battery?)
Signed,
Lost in a world of fast changing Tech and no longer wanting to have to be connected to the internet to enjoy music.
