I recently learned of a major development project planned for the waterfront near where I live. Good or bad, it means that views like this will likely vanish in the coming years, obstructed by new buildings. If an #EndangeredViews hashtag doesn’t exist yet, here’s one — and I’ll try to take as many photos as I can before these views are lost to time. 💔

The new meets the old(ish) - The #hongkong #skyline got an additional gem, albite a controversial one. The skyscraper "the Henderson" next to the Bank of China tower stands out with it's rounded features. The #design from Zaha Hadid #architects is supposed to "echo the #organic forms of the #natural world".
Due to other newly constructed buildings along the coastline of #Hongkongisland the view of both buildings is obstructed and they are not really visible from across the harbour anymore.
