After many, many years of saying to myself "I should watch #SnowPiercer at some point" the point finally arrived tonight and I did, indeed, watch Snowpiercer. I wish I'd watched it earlier.
Naturally, it suffers from a lot of "but how did they...?" questions that were never answered, but the underlying character/social elements were decent. Tilda Swinton was ridiculously good. Chris Evans, very surprisingly, was also excellent.
Very enjoyable.
If I had a nickel for every time I saw a scifi movie set in a frigid environment, rife with themes of class struggle, featuring a well known actor who has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe wearing prosthetic teeth to play a cartoonishly over the top villian, and directed by Bong Joon Ho, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's odd that it should happen twice.

Fans of TNT series #Snowpiercer will be pleased to know that the UK FINALLY has the 4th (and final) season. It's not on Netflix though... AMC ended up airing it so licenses got weird. It's all on ITVX though. S1-3 still on #NetflixUK. S1-4 on #ITVX.
Since Netflix doesn’t want to release the fourth season of Snowpiercer, I acquired it by other means.
I did not expect it to be such a striking allegory against tech solutionism and the “man genius” that is going to save the world (actually destroying it).
This last season is a really great send-off for a fantastic show. Intriguing story, great set design, and trains. 10/10. Can recommend.
Received my 3 free month of #appletvplus so I can continue to watch #Silo even though I’ve realized it’s just a vertical #Snowpiercer.
