I'm offering an early bird sign up bonus for registering for my anxiety reduction course this week. Get an extra live practice session for help applying it to your real life situation.

We'll cover a framework for anxiety reduction that actually works for the Autistic/AuDHD brain, WHY it works, and 8 ways to put it into practice. Intrigued? Details here:

Yesterday I checked into a hotel apartment by the sea and was distraught that there were hotel carpark road works right under my windows and the whole apartment shook and was loud and smelled of the tar being poured outside.

So I politely rang reception and explained we are an #Autistic family and are distressed by this. The manager offered us a beautiful suite in the hotel for use during road work times for free. A wonderful solution kindly given.

You know, I never understood why I was so popular in school despite being #autistic and #trans, but then I remembered that I gravitated toward Rarity after changing my avatar to her as part of a joke on EqD (like she was taking over) and now I realized how it makes sense. I share some of her traits, along with Fluttershy and Twilight. But you rarely see either of them in my avatar, or at least not fully, because Twilight is cropped out of this one. However, for me, my popularity was an accident.

Lovely new video from my internet friend @matricardo, late diagnosed #autistic, all around good human, and performer extraordinaire youtu.be/-GOrSLD3Vfk

My #ADHD #edc includes: pocket knife, bullet journal, pen, pencil, permanent marker, folding rule, disposable earplugs, wooden spoon, a few meters of duck tape on an old debit card.

Kept in the multiple pockets of my heavy cotton guild pants, three identical pairs, wear one every day, no matter what, so I don't have to think about it.

Reminder that self diagnosis is valid and doesn't take away anything from anyone else. Let people identify. It's just as "official" of diagnosis as a random stranger looking at you for three hours of your life is determining your fate.
(Also big thanks to Mr. Owltistic for writing down your M&M eating habits for me to steal for this comic. Don't worry, I got his permission to do it. 🙈)

Morning y'all.

Had a rubbish nights sleep - for various reasons - but woke up to make a firm decision on something that's well overdue me making a decision over and I feel much better about it (regards a big purchase).

Oftentimes the analysis-paralysis of not making a decision is more painful than just making the wrong decision.

Don't think I've made the wrong decision (fairly confident), bit it's nice to stop over analysing it now.

So, I'm on annual leave today. Wife is away with the W.I. all day so I'm at a loose end.

I get up early. Get my camera and my 28mm Prime "pancake" lens, pop my adjustable neutral density filter into my bag and head off into London for a day of candid street photography.

In London for all of 2 hours .. didn't take ONE SINGLE PHOTO.. didn't even take camera out of my bag.

Had a crisis of confidence. Felt really self conscious. The crowds were oppressive, the noise unbearable. Had a disappointing coffee in acafé.. and by "had" I mean I purchased and took one look at it and left it untouched and walked out.

Just back home now. Nothing but a stress headache and sore feet to show for my "fun day out" :'(
