Finally something else than baroque churches. This church in #Gallipoli is very exotic. The façade looks almost art deco, or even fascist, but the interior is as far as I understand Gothic, with some modern details.

4. When war was declared in Aug. 1914, he was in charge of the Richmond Depot, and undertook the raising of the 6th Battalion, which formed part of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force. He was killed in action, 7 Aug. 1915, at the capture of the hill at Lalla Baba. The Chaplain of the 32nd Brigade, writing to his father, said: "He died as he would have wished to die--a gallant soldier leading his men, himself at the very front of the Regiment, on the summit of Lala Baba. #WW1 #gallipoli #yorks
