Calling the #SEGA #Genesis / #MegaDrive experts: how is the VCount register expected to behave on a PAL system?

According to https://www.smspower.org/uploads/Development/msvdp-20021112.txt it should count from 00 to F2, then go back to BA and count up to FF, then wrap to 00 - at least in Master System mode.

That's not what we're (always) getting
