Currently reading Chris Prom’s excellent 2010 “Optimum Access” paper, and I am FLABBERGASTED to learn that the “average repository provides descriptive information in the search room for only 67% of its processed collections” (based on a survey of college and uni archives).
No descriptive access for onsite researchers for a THIRD of PROCESSED collections??
