#Oven opening walled in for cleaning and wiping the #heating flues.
I couldn't get a cleaning opening with the dimensions of the old lid, so i had to drill custom #holes in two thick #fireclay stones. I used a special tool and my big angle grinder.

Side walls with abutment bricks finished and aligned with #fireclay #bricks. Wooden #framework and support for flat #vault (minor arch) set up and aligned in the center of the oven. #Fine plastered wall in the background with a #oven pipe leading into the wall.
