Javelina aka Collared Peccary by Debra Martz
Seen at Estero Llano Grande in Weslaco, Texas.
Javelinas live in large family groups (squadrons) of about 10 members and can be found in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, through Mexico, and south to Argentina.
They are also known as the Collared Peccary because of the lighter ring of hair around their neck & shoulders.
