I'm REALLY not used to being excited about a #KDrama that is currently airing, let alone several. I removed my #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines filter yesterday, but have just added one for Negotiation, keeping spud lab company - bizarro world!

Trying to decide which #KDrama to start after #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines and deciding I need more time to digest and savour it, so back to #reading for a bit, I think to get back on track with challenges at #TheStoryGraph

Into episode 13 of #KDrama #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines and I feel a lethal lake of loquacity looming

The scene in #KDrama #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines where IU's character is bawling uncontrollably while the cab's radio carries the news of Kim Il-Sung's death is comedy GOLD. Genuinely one of the funniest #KDrama scenes I've seen

At least 80% of Korean food shown in any #KDrama has zero appeal to me. But watching episode 10 of #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines I'm reminded that the MOST actively repellent to me (after soondae) is the seaweed slop, I mean "soup" served on birthdays. It says a lot to me about the Korean psyche that the food traditionally served on a celebratory day looks for all the world like it's intended as penance or punishment. Or both.

Halfway through #KDrama #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines and it has been an interesting experience. The fact that my mother was a bit part in my life by her choice means that much of the core of the Drama is more alien to me than Jeju satoori. It does make me miss my Dad though

I religiously avoid watching #KDramas or #CDramas as they air to avoid the tragically common disappointment of brain-dead endings. BUT, there's an added bonus - binge-watching a GOOD #KDrama like #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines It's Tuesday evening here. I started it on Monday and will finish it tomorrow. 좋아

An unexpected bonus for me in #KDrama #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines has been seeing a long time favourite in a meaningful role. I haven't seen Uhm Ji Won in ages, and it's great to see her given a nicely 3D character

Aaaand there it is - episode 6 of #KDrama #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines finally clicks with me emotionally. All 4 family members are nailing it and in so doing ruthlessly and repeatedly punching me right in the feels. 대박!

The acting in #KDrama #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines is great, but the core emotional focus on mothers makes watching it a bit academic for me. But at least the long title gives me a great opportunity to demonstrate the usefulness of #CamelCase for accessibility

4/16 done with #KDrama #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines and I may just be beginning to hate IU. Incredibly hard-working, ruthlessly focused and in control, prodigiously talented and astonishingly successful because of the combination of those characteristics, and very attractive as well just to rub in how much she is the exact antithesis of my very being, damn her.
