One of the best skills you can develop as a , commercial leader, a sales operator, or a strategic business development person is the PROCESS and understanding the MINDSET. Communicating the contracting process to the entire organization also builds a sense of we're all "in it" together.

When people think of sales driven organizations, they often think of cheesy pitches, slick tactics, perhaps even the use of innate qualities like charm or charisma, BUT so much of being effective in generating is being comfortable and excelling at the contracting process.

Knowing who the players involved are on all sides, what are non-negotiables, how to plan for hiccups, identifying characteristics of lawyers who are deal-oriented, how to use contracting as a forcing function, and how to bake in revenue expansion opportunities into the process.

Wishing everyone a prosperous #2023 and hoping your revenue, wherever it comes from, measurably improves society.
