At mobility move 2025 in #Berlin, #Daimler #Buses will showcase the new #Mercedes-Benz eCitaro K, a compact, electric low-floor bus. In February 2025, the #Italian city of Asti launched its first electric buses, marking a European premiere with the delivery of four #Mercedes-Benz eCitaro K buses. These compact 10.63-metre vehicles, ideal for narrow city routes, are part of a fleet expansion by local operator Asti Servizi Pubblici S.p.A. (ASP). The buses are equipped with six battery packs, offering a range of around 400 km per charge. ASP also received 12 regular 12-metre eCitaro buses, totalling 17 new electric vehicles. The buses feature two entry doors, wheelchair accessibility, air-conditioning, and a range of safety systems. The OMNIplus eServiceContract ensures long-term availability and cost efficiency, with real-time diagnostics improving fleet uptime. These buses will be charged overnight at the depot.
