I'm really excited to bring Recipe Rumble to play with people at BOARDcaygeon this weekend. This super-fast, super-fun real-time game was a blast at Breakout Toronto.

The publishers, @enjaygames is a family-owned, Canadian small business with some great idea. They even have me a bottle of hot sauce (made in conjunction with @no7hotsauce) which looks so yummy!

It might not sound like the sort of game a friendly raven like Blanche would play, but Spite & Malice is one of her favorites!

In this game you place adjectives from your hand in reverse grammatical order (back to front), trying to be the last to place an adjective. Specials let you place out of order or delay conceding with the special "f-bomb" wildcard.

But, one wrinkle we discovered is that you can challenge an item for absurdity. There is perhaps some strategic value in trying an absurd adjective anyway because of you are challenged the next player may have to concede anyway, giving you the cards. So losing your turn might be advantageous.

Had fun at my first go playing the Fellowship of the Ring trick-taking card game in solo mode. It's about 40 years since I've played a trick-taking card game ...
