What to do? I have sudden urge to switch my Samsung S6 Lite tablet to custom #android. There would be both the lineage and /e/OS available. Help, stop me before I waste few evenings again... I suppose I'd loose the pen utilities which was kinda the point of buying this tablet...

Jemand Erfahrung mit #eOS Flash auf einem #Samsung A52s 5G?
Mir scheint die Doku veraltet und ich scheitere schon beim finden der vbmeta.img Datei, da es sie nicht mehr zu geben scheint. Zudem wird eine Installation mit #Odin vorgeschlagen. Die Samsung Software heißt meines Wissens aber mittlerweile Heimdall. Funktioniert der Flash damit dennoch?
Dachte ich frag mal nach Hilfe, bevor ich das Smartphone zum Briefbeschwerer mache.
Estoy valorando seriamente cambiar próximamente de #Android a #eOS para alejarme todo lo posible de Google.
El caso es que todavía hay dos apps que me mantienen ligado y no me decido a dar el paso. Una de ellas es FamilyLink, que no me preocupa en exceso, y la otra es GooglePay, que sí es es una app que uso bastante.
¿Sabéis de alguna alternativa #opensource para sustituir la app de pagos de Google? He visto foros e hilos y en todos dicen que no es posible usar esa app en #eOS. Se que la solución es fácil, pagar con tarjeta física o incluso usar efectivo, pero he de reconocer que me es muy cómodo ir solamente con el móvil y no tener que llevar la cartera encima cuando salgo por ahí.
A ver si alguien por aquí puede arrojar algo de luz o si los amigos de @e_mydata pueden ayudarme en esto.

@Rockndoll Soweit ich weiß ist das #AndroidOS ohne Zusatz-Apps #OpenSource - von daher ist der Einsatz von #degoogle Android wie #LineageOS, #eos oder #GrapheneOS durchaus sinnvoll. Mit dem #FOSS Part von #Android machen Google, Facebook und Co sicher keinen Gewinn.Jedes bißchen hilft....

So, as far as I can see, there's still "only" #lineageOS and #eOS if you dont already own a #GooglePixel, right?
I tried both a few years ago, but ended up switching back to full Google Android due to a few apps that required some of their APIs (mainly banking and mobility related).
I'm happy to not care about that anymore.

Is there a non-hacky way to hide apps and folders on #eos?

) So 12 hours with #IodeOS maybe a bit early for feedback. But I'm thrilled. Everything is running. Unlike #eOS I have Android 15 and #seedvault is running. I had to set up a #ntfy server (hello #uberspace) so #moshidon (#fdroid) pushes, but that's not bad.
I know there are even freer #androids out there, but for me it's a mix of privacy, simplicity and a whole lot of good feeling.
Also important: it has to run on the #fairphone5, because I specifically bought it for sustainability.
