In #Germany, one can order stuff on #Lieferando (the local branding for #GrubHub) to basically any place and pay with #PayPal.

  • And since everyone has a right to a basic bank account and PayPal verifies a bank account with a 1¢ transfer to it, they technically and theoretically could have that ready and order some food for that.

But why would they pay €10+delivery if they could get the same food as takeaway for half that amount?

@Larvitz@burningboard.net DoorDash (restaurant delivery) was mostly the top food service here, but their fees became insane both for the customer and the restaurants. When Instacart (grocery delivery) formed a partnership with Uber Eats (restaurant delivery), they started to cut into DoorDash's market share. However, GrubHub has always been the better deal here, with lower fees, and reasonable priced menus, not raising the price to much about the restaurants. Because in America, that is something they all do, on top of their fees.
