So many business leaders claim they want to be known as leaders in their field, but few are willing to be out in front. They hide in the relative safety of the middle, trying their best to blend in, afraid to be noticed as different. That’s not leadership.

The most attractive thing in human beings is the confidence to be yourself. It’s no different with brands. Companies that are unapologetically themselves are the very ones thought of as iconic.

Be iconic.

Evening falls in London's Trafalgar Square, one of the capital's great meeting places.
In the foreground the silhouetted bronze statue of George IV by Sir Francis Legatt Chantrey.
Originally, the impressive sculpture, which depicts the King dressed in ancient Roman attire and riding bareback, was going to be placed on top of Marble Arch, but was placed in its current location following the King's death.
On a somewhat lighter note, Nelson's Column always reminds me of one of my favourite children's TV programmes, in particular, the one that featured presenter John Noakes scaling its dizzy heights to help clean off the pigeon poo!
